“I met Carolyn over coffee one afternoon and in that one, brief chat she opened my eyes to what really makes me unique in my field... I have been using that point ever since..."
“Mojo helped me to be open to new possibilities, but not to settle for less than I wanted. I got more than I expected, faster than I expected. Your pep talks were always timely. Thanks for being there for me.”
Tucson Marketing Tools
A few years ago, a group of five entrepreneurs, aka solopreneurs, formed a mastermind group with its focus on supporting the growth of our businesses. That’s where I met the famed Don Ledbetter who had a company by the name of WeGottaGuy. He had created a ‘stable’ of personally vetted local contractors for the Tucson home and commercial improvement industries. With one call, a homeowner or commercial property owner had access to the best, most reliable contractors here in Tucson. Ledbet, as I respectfully call him, invited me for coffee one morning and asked if I would be willing to be his accountability partner since his company was not growing at the pace he had envisioned. I was flattered and willing.
That was 2-1/2 years ago and since then his business has grown by 50%. Our relationship works because Ledbet has been open minded and willing to be accountable for his bottom line goals (with no excuses). It’s a great fit for the both of us — and it’s fun.
Growth is the name of the game and WeGottaGuy has its mojo going.
All about Eve
Friendships happen in the most unexpected places. We all know that nothing happens by accident, right? I met Eve at an event where she was volunteering, she introduced herself and we chatted for quite a while. At the time, she had a job, and sometimes two, with a lack of enthusiasm for both. As we became better friends and she learned more about MOJO Consulting, she hired me as her accountability partner. That was about a year ago. Since then, Eve has created her own company called “The Accurate Wordsmith,” a proofreading, editing, and transcription company. She did this while still working a couple of jobs but stuck to her goal of moving on; and, she did. In February of 2016, Eve became an entrepreneur and a happy one at that. Her transcription business keeps growing with clients from the University of Arizona and MOJO has been using her proofing and editing expertise while preparing copy for her own website. So, this short story has no ending. Onward, Eve.
